    What is defecation reflex?

  6. When feces enter the rectum, distention of the rectal wall initiates afferent signals that spread through the myenteric plexus (A network of nerves between the circular and longitudinal layers of the muscular coat of the digestive tract. Also known as Auerbach's plexus) to initiate peristaltic waves in the descending colon, sigmoid, and rectum, forcing feces toward the anus. As the peristaltic wave approaches the anus, the internal anal sphincter is relaxed by inhibitory signals from the myenteric plexus.
NOTE: If the external anal sphincter is also consciously, voluntarily relaxed at the same time, defecation occurs.

    What is acid reflux sir??

  8. Acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) refers to chronic symptoms or mucosal damage produced by the abnormal reflux in the oesophagus. This can be due to incompetence of the lower esophageal sphincter. When acid flows back into the oesophagus from stomach it creates heartburn.

  11. In the large intestine, water and salts are absorbed and change the material in the digestive tract from a liquefied state to semisolid faeces.
